Welcome to the homepage of my model-airport in scale 1:500 renewed by a new design. With this website I want to introduce this model and give an insight into the construction of such an airport - from planning till completion.
This model is about a design of the Baden-Airport in Söllingen (near Baden-Baden), which was still unknown to me at the beginning of building. At that time the real airport still was a Canadian Air Base. That's why I hadn't seen it before, although I live in the surrounding area. Today this Air Base is a regional airport with increasing figures of passengers every year. A plenty of beautiful destinations are approached by several airlines: Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Kanarische Inseln (Spain), Griechenland (Greece), Türkei (Turkey), ...
The amazing thing of my model is that the division of the buildings nearly correspond to that of the real one. Only with one difference: The real Airport is not as converted as my model-airport.
Therefore you can consider my model as a kind of study.
But now, I still don't want to tell too much. Enjoy it!
